Dhruti Vasavada’s passion for educating and mentoring young minds has fueled her journey of becoming an educationist with an engineering edge. She started her teaching career as a math, science, and logic teacher at a Bay Area private school, and went on to working with future high school students, preparing them for private high school placement tests and excelling at it. She has volunteered for the past five plus years helping high school students with college applications as an independent counselor, bringing out the best in every student with her smile and positive attitude! Dhruti is a strategic thinker who can breakdown the college application process into small manageable steps with big picture in mind, and an effective communicator who instantly connects with and loves working with teenagers!
Dhruti Vasavada has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering, India (’89), and a Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin (’93). She worked for the Texas Department of Transportation, planning and designing state highways and airports. She moved to the Bay Area in 1996, co-founding and eventually selling Paradigm Consulting, a software startup where she led marketing and service branding. She is a professional member of IECA.
In her spare time, she enjoys culinary experiments, painting canvases of places she has trekked or traveled, and enjoying the California weather in her backyard. She routinely practices yoga and meditation, and her latest adventure was running the San Francisco Nike Women’s Half Marathon with her two daughters!
